Andean alder

Alnus acuminata, commonly known as Andean alder, is a deciduous tree that thrives in full sun and requires medium water. It is suitable for USDA zones 5–8, growing to a height of 8–15 meters. The tree produces brown and green flowers in spring and prefers loamy, clay, or sandy soil. It is not fragrant, does not attract pollinators, is not toxic, and is not evergreen.
