Balsam

Impatiens obcordifolia, commonly known as Balsam, is an annual ornamental plant in the Balsaminaceae family. It prefers part shade and high water conditions, growing to a height of 0.2–0.6 meters. This plant blooms from early summer to early autumn with flowers in shades of pink, red, white, and purple. It thrives in loamy, peaty soil and is suitable for USDA zones 2–11. It is not fragrant but attracts pollinators and is not toxic. It is not evergreen.
