Haircap moss

Polytrichum leptocarpum, known as haircap moss, is an ornamental perennial moss that prefers part shade and low water conditions. It is suitable for USDA zones 5–8 and typically grows to a height of 0.05–0.15 meters. This evergreen moss thrives in loamy, sandy, or peaty soil. Its blooming period is unknown, it does not attract pollinators, is not toxic, and is not fragrant.
