Afrosolen

Afrosolen erongoensis is a perennial ornamental plant from the Iridaceae family, thriving in full sun with low water needs. It is suitable for USDA zones 9–11 and grows to a height of 0.1–0.3 meters. This plant blooms in purple and blue colors during several months of the year (1, 2, 3, 4, 10, 11, 12) and prefers sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It is evergreen, attracts pollinators, but is not fragrant and not toxic.
