American silk cotton

Calotropis procera is an ornamental shrub that requires full sun and low water conditions. It is suitable for USDA zones 7–10, growing to a height of 1.5–3 meters. The plant blooms with pink and purple flowers from June to August and prefers sandy, loamy, or chalky soils. It is evergreen, attracts pollinators, is not toxic, and is not fragrant.
