Berberis

Berberis actinacantha is a deciduous shrub, categorized as ornamental, that requires full sun and low water. It is hardy in USDA zones 5–9, growing to a height of 1–2 meters. This plant blooms with yellow flowers in May and June. It prefers loamy, chalky, or sandy soils. While it attracts pollinators, it is not fragrant and not toxic.
