Gaultheria rubella
Gaultheria rubella, known as Gaultheria, is an ornamental shrub belonging to the Ericaceae family. It thrives in part shade with medium water requirements, growing to a height of 0.3–1 meter in USDA zones 5–8. This evergreen shrub prefers loamy, peaty, and sandy soils. It blooms with pink and red flowers from July to September, attracts pollinators, but is not fragrant and not toxic.
