Hornwort

Ceratophyllum muricatum, known as Hornwort, is a perennial aquatic plant in the Ceratophyllaceae family, often used as an ornamental. It prefers full sun and high water conditions, thriving in USDA zones 4-10. This submerged plant can grow to a height of 0.5–1.5 meters and prefers loamy, sandy, or clay soils. Its blooming period is unknown. It is not fragrant, does not attract pollinators, is not toxic, and is not evergreen.
