Agave montana
Agave montana is an evergreen perennial ornamental plant that thrives in full sun and requires low watering. It grows to a height of 0.6–1 meter and is suitable for USDA zones 7–10. The plant blooms in late summer to early autumn (July-September) with white and cream-colored flowers and prefers sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It is not fragrant or toxic, and while it attracts pollinators, it is not a primary pollinator plant.

This agave is drought-tolerant and prefers well-draining soil, making it ideal for sandy, loamy, or chalky conditions. Plant in a location that receives full sun to partial shade. Water sparingly, allowing the soil to dry out completely between waterings. Protect from hard frost, as it is hardy to USDA zone 7.
Agave montana typically blooms only once in its lifetime, a spectacular event after which the main rosette dies. The tall flower stalk produces numerous white and cream flowers, attracting some pollinators.
