Onion

Allium cepa var. cepa, commonly known as onion, is a perennial edible plant that thrives in full sun and requires medium water. It is suitable for USDA zones 3–10, growing to a height of 0.4–1 meter. This plant blooms from May to July with white, pink, or purple flowers and prefers clay, sandy, loamy, or chalky soil. It is fragrant, attracts pollinators, is not toxic, and is not evergreen.
