Panicum obseptum, commonly known as Panicum, is a grass species belonging to the Poaceae family. This ornamental grass is an annual that thrives in full sun and prefers medium water conditions. It typically grows to a height of 0.6–1.2 meters and can adapt to clay, sandy, or loamy soils. It is suitable for USDA zones 5–9. While it does not have known fragrant properties or attract pollinators, it is not considered toxic and is not evergreen.
