Carex rugata, commonly known as Sedge, is an ornamental grass that prefers full sun and medium water conditions. It grows to a height of 0.3–0.6 meters and blooms from July to September. This plant is suitable for USDA zones 4–9 and prefers loamy, clay, or peaty soils. It is not evergreen.
