Stevia melancholica is a perennial ornamental plant that thrives in full sun and requires low water. It is hardy in USDA zones 5-9, growing to a height of 0.4-0.6 meters. This plant blooms in white from August to October. It prefers sandy, loamy, or chalky soils, attracts pollinators, is non-toxic, but is not fragrant and not evergreen.
