Desfontainia spinosa is an evergreen ornamental shrub that prefers partial shade and medium water. It grows to a height of 1–2 meters and blooms from mid-summer to early autumn with red and orange flowers. This plant is suitable for USDA zones 6–8 and thrives in loamy or peaty soil.
