Thistle

Berkheya spinosissima, commonly known as Thistle, is a perennial ornamental plant that thrives in full sun with medium water requirements. It typically grows to a height of 0.6–1.2 meters and is suitable for USDA zones 5–9. The plant produces yellow and purple blooms in late summer and early autumn. It prefers loamy, sandy, or chalky soil and is not fragrant, but it does attract pollinators. It is not toxic and is not evergreen.
