This plant is known for its rapid growth and ability to thrive in disturbed soils and sunny locations. It can become weedy in some areas due to its prolific seed production. Ensure good drainage and avoid overly rich soil to prevent excessive vegetative growth at the expense of flowers. It is often used in wildflower mixes for its bright yellow blooms.
