Utricularia welwitschii is a perennial carnivorous plant belonging to the Lentibulariaceae family. It is cultivated as an ornamental plant and typically grows to a height of 0.1–0.3 meters. This species thrives in full sun and requires high moisture levels, preferring peaty or loamy soils. It blooms with yellow flowers from July to September and is suitable for USDA zones 6–9. It is not evergreen and attracts pollinators.
