Verbascum alceoides is a perennial ornamental plant in the Scrophulariaceae family. It thrives in full sun with medium water requirements, suitable for USDA zones 5–9. This plant reaches a height of 0.8–1.5 meters and blooms with purple, pink, white, and yellow flowers from June to September. It prefers loamy or chalky soil.
