Vernonia

Vernonieae canescens is a perennial ornamental plant that prefers full sun and medium watering. It can grow quite tall, reaching 0.8–2 meters in height, and blooms from July to September with purple and pink flowers. This plant thrives in loamy soil and is suitable for USDA zones 5–8.
