Dendrochilum violaceum
Dendrochilum violaceum, or Violet Dendrochilum, is a perennial ornamental orchid that prefers part shade and medium watering. This evergreen species grows to a height of 0.2–0.3 meters and is suitable for USDA zones 10–11. It blooms in shades of purple and violet over an extended period, from January to April and again from October to December. It thrives in loamy, peaty soil.
