Aldrovanda vesiculosa, commonly known as the waterwheel plant, is a perennial aquatic carnivorous plant. It floats freely in freshwater and is characterized by its unique whorls of leaves that snap shut to trap small aquatic invertebrates. It blooms with small white flowers in August.
