Machaerina mariscoides subsp. mariscoides is an evergreen grass in the Cyperaceae family, growing 0.5–1.5 meters tall. It prefers full sun and medium water, thriving in clay, loamy, or peaty soils. This ornamental grass does not have prominent blooms and does not attract pollinators. It is not fragrant and not toxic.
